Don’t you hate that feeling when the finances are a little low and its time to save on the pennies?

The tell-tales signs are; when you find yourself saying you can’t do this or that ‘cos I’m skint’; you’re eating cereal for dinner and you’ve banned yourself from being within 5 miles of any clothes shop… I certainly know this feeling.

So does saving or living within a budget really mean not being able to have a social life? or enjoy the little luxuries that life can offer?

buddha bar marbella Can we live the lifestyle without the compromise?

Recently I went on holiday to Marbella with some friends.  Marbella, specifically Puerto Banus, has a reputation for being rather flashy and expensive, so I was ready to take the brunt for a costly holiday.  To my surprise, although we made some costly mistakes (I’ll go into more detail about this in the next post) the total we spent on the trip was relatively low and could have been even lower!  With the rapid emergence of deal sites like Groupon, Living Social and KGB Deals, it no longer has to cost an arm and a leg to go on holiday, eat out or try new activities.

It’s not just the luxuries you can save on, there are plenty of ways to cut your daily living costs too.  Why pay more when you can pay less? Our aim at MoneySavingLifestyle.com is to see how far we can stretch the value of our £££s in todays society.

Can we really have a quality lifestyle, rich in experiences and joy, and all without feeling you’ve somehow paid over the odds?

I certainly believe, so and on this site I hope to share with you tips and advice on how all this can be done.
